Pavlina Todorova is an inspired painter who turns people’s focus on the less esoteric elements of life and makes people slow down to look at her painted world.
Born in 1975, is an ex-fashion designer who has turned to oil and acrylic painting to portray life and beauty in every single stroke. Thus, though her style is close to impressionism, and she is free to adjust her work to the given topic. In her works, she demonstrates an incredible appreciation of life and aesthetically captures life of people and nature. More recently, Singulart contacted Pavlina to learn more about her more recent works and future exhibitions and she was happy to answer our questions.
What is your newest series, exhibition (or ongoing project)?
I’m working on a new series, with which I’d like to bring the message to allow ourselves to have moments of relaxation, dreaming, passion, and joy throughout everything around us. The focus of the series is on women, distributing with their beauty and power to bring tenderness and calmness.
What was or is the inspiration or concept behind this new series or exhibition?
Some of my artworks are inspired by real-life situations- some personal experiences, others as a bystander.
What’s the message behind your new series or exhibition?
The message is to allow ourselves to search for beauty in our lives and to be able to enjoy it.
Moreover, is there a particular piece in the series that you’re most fond of? Why?
I’m certainly connected with all of my artworks because, in each painting, a different state of mind and soul is reflected.
If you encountered any challenges during the creation of this series or holding your latest exhibition, how did you manage to tackle and overcome them?
I love the journey of creating every painting in the series, and the hardest part is the time I must wait between layers to continue expressing the idea on the canvas.
How would you recommend a visitor experience your creation?
To imagine for a moment that they are represented on the canvas, to close their eyes, take a deep breath, and see themselves in the place where the painting brings them. Then, enjoy the moment.
What’s next for you? Are you already working on a new series or project?
I’m still working on this series called “Daydreaming.” Besides that, I work on abstract works. I enjoy switching between themes and mediums I work with, as I find it recharging.
Pavlina’s devoted work coupled with her unique approach to art that flawlessly blends her life inspirations have led to a concentrated body of work that’s audibly and visually resonant. With her current series titled “Daydreaming,” she invites viewers to relive that beauty so they can really experience her talent and passion for creating art that speaks to the world and speaks to the human soul. We can’t wait to see what Pavlina has next.
