아메드 카멜은 라이프치히 시각예술 아카데미에서 사진 및 영상 분야 석사 학위(2014년)를, 카이로 헬완 대학교에서 미술학 학사 학위(2003년)를 취득한 다분야 시각예술가입니다. 그는 베를린과 카이로를 오가며 거주하며 작업하고 있습니다.
그의 작업은 사회적, 종교적 영역에서 유전된 선입견을 조사하고, 그가 거주하는 두 문화권에서 이러한 선입견이 교차하는 지점을 탐구합니다.
그는 역사와 서사에 대한 선택적 접근 방식이 자아상 구성과 그에 따른 문화적 표현에 어떤 영향을 미치는지 조사합니다.
