예술은 제가 기억하는 한 항상 제 삶의 일부였습니다. 어린 시절부터 저는 본능적으로 그림을 그리고 색칠하는 데 끌렸고, 그것들을 표현할 단어를 배우기 훨씬 전부터 형태, 색채, 감정을 탐구했습니다.
저는 1989년부터 1992년까지 정식으로 미술을 공부했고, 전설적인 자밀 나크쉬의 작업실에서 제자로 훈련받는 드문 특권을 누렸지만, 마음속으로는 여전히 스스로를 독학한 예술가라고 생각합니다. 저의 예술적 언어는 끊임없는 실험과 개인적인 탐구, 그리고 예술에 대한 변함없는 헌신을 통해 발전해 왔습니다.
저는 30년 넘게 전문 화가로 활동하며, 전통에 기반을 두면서도 저만의 끊임없이 발전하는 비전을 반영하는, 규율과 직관을 모두 아우르는 작품 세계를 구축해 왔습니다.
