저는 Eilen Itzel Mena이고, 현재 영국 런던에 거주하는 사우스 브롱크스 출신의 아프로-도미니카계 미국인 예술가이자 작가입니다. 2017년에 USC Roski School of Art and Design에서 미술 학사 학위를 받았습니다. 2024년 6월에 UCL Slade School of Fine Art에서 회화 석사 학위를 받았습니다. 저는 국제적으로 작품을 전시했으며, 다양한 아티스트 보조금과 상을 수상했습니다. 저의 시각 예술 활동은 여성 아프로-디아스포라 교차 경험을 기록하는 데 깊이 뿌리를 두고 있습니다. 저는 지역 사회, 조상, 목적, 어린 시절의 자아와 성인 자아 사이의 연결에 대한 이해를 통해 성장과 변화를 묘사하는 데 중점을 둡니다. 저는 다양한 재료를 사용하여 아프리카 디아스포라의 사람들이 기쁨을 추구하는 방식과 개인적, 공동체적 목적을 조사하는 데 관심이 있습니다. 저는 그림, 드로잉, 판화, 조각, 설치 및 공연을 기쁨을 추구하는 도구로 사용합니다.
