저는 누군가가 모습을 드러내거나, 혹은 사라지기로 선택하는 순간을 사진에 담습니다. 제 작업은 손을 들어 올리는 모습, 등을 돌리는 모습, 흐름 속에서 미동도 없이 존재하는 모습과 같은 단순한 몸짓을 통해 공공장소에서의 가시성과 절제 사이의 경계를 탐구합니다.
저는 빛, 선, 그리고 여백을 이용하여 시선을 유도하는 구성을 한 다음, 각자가 자신만의 이야기를 만들어낼 수 있도록 일부를 비워둡니다.
제 작품들은 "시야 속의 보이지 않는 것들" 시리즈에 속하며, 타인의 시선으로부터 우리가 무엇을 드러내고 무엇을 감추는지를 결정하는 미세한 몸짓들을 흑백과 컬러로 탐구합니다. 한정판 피그먼트 프린트로, 작가의 서명과 번호가 기재되어 있습니다.
