저는 피에르 카르댕 옷을 입고 눈에 띄는 작은 스위스 마을에서 자랐습니다.
패션은 금세 나의 갑옷이자 취약점이 되었습니다.
옷차림 때문에 놀림을 받으면서, 외모가 우리의 모습을 얼마나 많이 형성하는지 깨달았습니다.
그리고 예술이 모든 것을 바꿔 놓았습니다. 나의 연약함이 창조적인 힘이 되었던 것입니다.
저는 패션이란 한 시대가 여성을 어떻게 인식하는지 보여주는 사회적 거울이라고 생각합니다.
