A curation by Frederick de Souza, Owner at De Souza Gallery - “A beacon-light is seen reddening the distant sky.” — Aeschylus, Agamemnon
We start with red: sunsets, horizons and burnt fields turned into abstract forms. These works use scarlet, carmine and smoke-grey to reflect Europe’s wildfire skies. They don’t tell the news, but keep the after-image of heat and haze, where land and sky blur. The quiet warning colour can carry.
