Against all Odds: Celebrating Cultures!

Positive or negative, leap years seem to be superstitious in many cultures. For some, a leap year can be ominous, for example in Italy, the ancient Romans ascribed a mournful meaning to it. In other countries, it takes on a value that is anything but negative. In Ireland, February 29th is associated with joyful custom, where on this day ("leap day"), women propose to their partners.

Instead of giving into our own superstitions, fears, and self-preservation, we want to face February with a sense of hope and unity. It's time to break free from the grip of old beliefs and embrace a collective spirit. Together, we can strive to foster a sense of closeness that transcends borders, cultures, and differences.

This collection celebrates going against all odds and superstitions, and embraces different cultures.
