A curation by Vlad Merariu, Curator at Dance Artworks Gallery - This collection stages the atmosphere of an opera night: red-velvet hush, gilded glow, and the promenade between acts. Foyers and grand staircases become moving architecture; chandeliers and the painted ceiling turn light into décor and memory. Portraits and scenes follow the ritual - arrival, overture, interval - where gesture is etiquette and space is spectacle. Works echo the Opéra Garnier’s materials and myths: velvet seating and boxes, the Chagall ceiling above the auditorium, and the social choreography of intermission with a glass in hand. The result is a visual libretto of anticipation and afterglow 0 an image of music before, during and after sound.
