A curation by Ainhoa Fernández, Art gallerist and curator at AF - German painter Christian v. Grumbkow (b. 1946, Oberhausen) studied at the WKS Wuppertal between 1966–1971, completing his training as a master student under Prof. Rudolf Schoofs. After extensive travels abroad, he has returned to Wuppertal, where he continues to live and work. His practice reflects decades of exploration, balancing painterly tradition with a contemporary sensibility rooted in color, rhythm, and the transformative potential of abstraction.
