A curation by Vlad Merariu, Curator at Dance Artworks Gallery - The circus is a living score where bodies write arcs of risk and grace in the air. This collection gathers vibrant works - figurative, abstract and fantastical - that place the performer at center stage: acrobats, jugglers, equestriennes, clowns and strongmen. Brushstrokes pulse like drumrolls, lines trace rigging and flight, and color swells into banners, sawdust, and midnight tents. Across oil, acrylic, ink, watercolor, enamel, collage and digital painting, the artists mirror what a choreographer seeks: timing, counterweight, suspended breath, safe landings. Together they reveal the circus as a syncretic art - movement, music, costume and scenography - braided into one continuous act - where each work becomes a cue to leap, catch, and bow.
