A curation by Juliana Angulo, Art Historian, Curator, and Advisor at FAREX & Singulart - This collection takes inspiration from the Color Field paintings that emerged in New York during the late 40s, and explores the use of color as a vehicle for space and form. The artworks, all created in luminous yet delicate hues, demonstrate an ability to transform two-dimensional canvases into color fields that provoke immersion and a sense of expansion. Through pure abstractions, these pieces remind us of the soft, blended effects of the “sfumato” technique. The pigments and brushstrokes are layered, translucent, and almost weightless. Their subtle nuances favor meditative atmospheres, a notion very characteristic of that modern movement. Silent but present, flat yet full of depth, these works radiate great serenity and emotion across their surfaces.
