A curation by Vlad Merariu, Curator at Dance Artworks Gallery - This collection captures the atmosphere and energy of flamenco - rhythm felt in the body and seen as line, light, and gesture. Across painting and mixed media, artists translate compás into visual cadence: heelwork becomes percussive mark, palmas echo in repeated forms, and the shawl or skirt traces arcs of motion. Some works hold a charged stillness; others blur velocity so the figure reads as pulse and flame. Figurative scenes and abstract fields coexist, mapping call-and-response between dancer, guitar, and handclap. The result is a choreography for the eye - duende as presence - where movement, sound, and space fuse into a singular aesthetic of intensity and grace.
