Fulvio Dot, an Italian painter and talented artist, is renowned for his compositions with Italian architectural landmarks “contaminated” with contemporary symbols and content. Dot’s pieces are created primarily with acrylics, oils and collage on canvas, and present a three-dimensional effect. Leading with the statement “I prefer to be a good craftsman than a mediocre artist”, I’ve asked him to describe his work in three words and here’s what he said: twofold, because there’s always more than just the main image to discover; artisanal, because he personally crafts his works with details, passion and patience; and approachable, art must reach a wider public and be of easy comprehension.
