A curation by Vlad Merariu, Curator at Dance Artworks Gallery - Once traded as portable wealth, pearls still read as value made visible. From tribute and tender to timeless adornment, pearls carry value and aura. Here, the gem appears as sculpture, as atmosphere, and as icon: stainless-steel mirrors holding a sphere; nacreous greys, blushes, and inky blacks in paint and lacquer; crisp, abstracted edges edged with pearl tones; and portraits where one bead anchors the gaze. Repeated circles, luster against rough, and a refined palette create a coherent, luminous thread.
