A curation by Raffaella Nobili, Owner and curator at Paraventi Giapponesi - The selected works explore the direct relationship between the often naked body and the landscape. In the photographs of Blacklock, Luciani, and Bergauer, the female figure appears immersed in a primordial Eden: the body blends with the rocks, bodies of water, and smooth surfaces, as if its form responded to an integrative natural logic. Black and white amplifies this ancient continuity between human presence and environment.
In other images, such as Gerhard Großberger's Breakdown, the landscape takes on a revealing function: the red tones of the earth and water accentuate the fragility of the reclining body, breaking it down and highlighting its symbolic tension.
What emerges is a double reading, harmony and fracture, in which nature and figure reflect each other, generating a dialogue that always remains open.
