Alice Gavin Atashkar is een autodidactische schilderes uit Manchester, die nu in Noord-Londen woont. Haar expressieve, gebarenrijke schilderijen combineren abstractie, figuratie en verbeelding, gekenmerkt door speelse, spontane basislagen en weelderige, gestructureerde oppervlakken, geïnspireerd door de wisselende seizoenen en de natuur. Door haar vrolijke, levendige kleuraccenten brengt ze herstel, hoop en een mindful, energieke sfeer van vrede en verwondering over. De afgelopen acht jaar is ze begeleid door Paul Regan, VPRWS. Ze is momenteel lid van het Londense kunstcollectief Art Can en heeft regelmatig haar werk tentoongesteld op kunstbeurzen in Londen en deelgenomen aan solo- en groepstentoonstellingen. Gavin-Atashkar heeft een master in kunstpsychotherapie van de Universiteit van Hertfordshire en is werkzaam als kunstpsychotherapeut.
