Angelo Asaro, een Italiaanse kunstenaar die in Londen woont, combineert zijn ingenieursopleiding en internationale ervaring in een verfijnde beeldtaal. Hij experimenteert met een schilderstijl die figuratief realisme en symbolisme vermengt binnen rigoureuze compositiestructuren, wat hij 'noëtisch surrealisme' noemt.
Zijn werken verkennen thema's als identiteit, tijd, geheugen en de fragiliteit van het bestaan, en geven vorm aan existentiële vragen die in het geheugen van de kijker gegrift blijven als mysterieuze innerlijke resonanties.
Zijn onderzoek is bekroond met diverse internationale prijzen en gepresenteerd in belangrijke contexten van hedendaagse kunst, waaronder de Biënnale van Florence, Londen en Milaan. Op de Biënnale van Venetië werd zijn werk gepresenteerd in een kritische samenvatting in het Grenada Paviljoen. Asaro werd tevens opgenomen in de Atlas van Hedendaagse Kunst, die werd gepresenteerd in het Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York.
