Atom Hovhanesyan (1981-2018) was een Armeense kunstenaar die zowel in Los Angeles als in New York woonde en werkte. Zijn schilderijen zijn postuum tentoongesteld in de Verenigde Staten en China. De kenmerkende post-divisionistische stijl van Hovhanesyan komt tot uiting in lijn, gebaar en het creëren van complexe en meeslepende ruimtes die als vertrekpunt fungeren en tegelijkertijd mysterieuze schilderkunstige energie overbrengen.
