Bruce Eves ontving in 2018 de Governor-General's Award voor uitzonderlijke prestaties in de visuele en mediakunst en was het onderwerp van Peter Dudars lange documentaire "Bruce Eves in Polari", die in première ging in The Power Plant. Eves stond op de 26e plaats in de Alt-Power100-lijst van ArtLyst (VK). In het verleden was hij eind jaren zeventig assistent-programmadirecteur bij het Centre for Experimental Art and Communication (CEAC) en gedurende de jaren tachtig was hij medeoprichter en hoofdarchivaris van het International Gay History Archive (nu ondergebracht bij de afdeling Zeldzame Boeken en Manuscripten van de New York Public Library). Eves blijft actief exposeren en cureren op het snijvlak van de kunst en heeft de afgelopen jaren zijn werk verder uitgebreid met spoken-wordprojecten die maandelijks worden uitgevoerd tijdens de Dirty Queer Poetry Nights in de Black Eagle bar.
