Carl Chapple is een Britse portretschilder die zijn werk op grote schaal in het VK heeft tentoongesteld. Nadat hij tijdens reizen naar Griekenland, Turkije en Italië een interesse in klassieke en renaissanceschilderkunst had ontwikkeld, begon hij zijn artistieke verkenning van de menselijke vorm en heeft sindsdien niet meer achterom gekeken. Chapple's werken tonen nu een sterk enthousiasme voor portretten en combineren gedempte tonen, sterke vormen en intrigerende gezichten.
