Chansong Kim is een schilderes wiens achtergrond is verrijkt door meeslepende kunstervaringen in haar jeugd, waarbij ze vaak het onbekende binnen het vertrouwde verkent. Ze gebruikt dikke lagen olieverf en werkt snel met ruwe penselen om dynamische, vervaagde grenzen op het doek te creëren. Haar expressieve werken wekken een gevoel van nieuwsgierigheid en verwondering op en moedigen kijkers aan om hun omgeving op nieuwe, onverwachte manieren te ervaren.
