Charley Brindley begon zijn artistieke carrière twintig jaar geleden met het maken van illustraties voor zijn 26 romans. Deze eerste afbeeldingen waren primitieve zwart-wittekeningen, met weinig diepgang of dramatiek, maar ze zorgden wel voor meer boekverkoop.

In de loop der jaren verbeterde zijn kunst doordat hij leerde apps te gebruiken om kleur en een betere definitie toe te voegen. Vier jaar geleden begon hij met het maken van digitale kunst. Dit was een langzaam proces vanwege de steile leercurve, net als bij elke taak waarbij meerdere elementen onder de knie moeten worden gekregen.

Nu hij honderden digitale boekillustraties heeft voltooid, heeft zijn kunst een professioneel niveau bereikt.
