Cheyoung Yoon is een schilderes met een rijke achtergrond in beeldende kunst, grafisch ontwerp en art direction. Ze gebruikt gelaagde oppervlakken met reliëfachtige texturen en verdunde acrylverf. Haar aanpak combineert abstractie en landschap, waarbij ze ritmisch gevormde kneedmassa en gereedschap gebruikt om tastbare fundamenten te creëren, waarover ze vloeibare kleuren giet om de onvoorspelbare ritmes van de psyche op te roepen. Haar werken stralen een diep gevoel van verbondenheid en oorsprong uit en nodigen de kijker uit in meditatieve ruimtes waar kwetsbaarheid en kracht, stilte en beweging naadloos in elkaar overvloeien.
