Ciprian Mihailescu is een gevestigde Roemeense schilder die zijn werk internationaal heeft tentoongesteld. Als bewonderaar van de grote meesters - met name van de school van het surrealisme - combineert hij magisch realisme en postconceptuele thema's om een eclectisch oeuvre te vormen dat invloeden uit mythologie, religie, filosofie, literatuur en wetenschap combineert.
