Fu Wenjun is een bekroonde schilder, fotograaf en beeldhouwer gevestigd in China wiens werken nationaal zijn tentoongesteld, maar ook in Japan, Nederland, Italië, Portugal, Duitsland, Egypte, Spanje, Rusland, Engeland en de Verenigde Staten . Door zijn kunst reflecteert hij op de oosterse en westerse geschiedenis, cultuur, menselijkheid, het erfgoed van de traditionele Chinese cultuur in een snel veranderende samenleving, industrialisatie en de verstedelijking van Chinese steden.
