« Voor mij is schilderen een hartslag, liefde, perceptie, impuls, toestand, stemming en ervaring. Soms spontaan, maar altijd gemaakt met een open ziel. Daarom noem ik mijn kunstwerken 'innerlijke landschappen'. »
Georgi Petrov is een Bulgaarse kunstenaar wiens schilderijen op grote schaal nationaal zijn tentoongesteld, maar ook in Polen, Hongarije, Duitsland, Oostenrijk, Slowakije, Frankrijk en de Verenigde Staten. De centrale thema's die in zijn kunst worden geportretteerd, maar ook zijn grootste inspiratiebronnen, de natuur en muziek. Horizons zijn een herhaald onderwerp in Petrovs composities, die hij beschrijft als "diep en emotioneel", geboren uit de vlakken van Dobrudzha, zijn geboorteplaats. Zijn werken nodigen kijkers uit om "van binnenuit te kijken".
