Gigi Miahs, geboren en woonachtig in Nairobi, Kenia, is een schilder die voornamelijk met olieverf werkt, aangevuld met bijenwas, houtskool en pastelkrijt. Hij volgde een formele opleiding aan het Buruburu Institute of Fine Arts. Zijn techniek combineert traditionele, klassieke en moderne stijlen, waarbij hij op meesterlijke wijze licht, kleur en verfijnde impasto-technieken met een paletmes combineert om zowel diepte als een tastbare aantrekkingskracht te creëren. Elk schilderij is een meeslepende, impressionistische scène die de kijker aantrekt en momenten van reflectie, ontdekking en diepe verwondering over de schoonheid en betekenis van het bestaan overbrengt.
