Gilrae Lee is een beeldhouwer gevestigd in Zuid-Korea, wiens werken nationaal zijn geëxposeerd, maar ook in Mexico, China, Singapore, de Verenigde Arabische Emiraten, Libanon, de Verenigde Staten, Monaco en Canada. Hij beschrijft het hoofdthema in zijn kunst als de "levenscyclus". Lee geniet van het proces waarbij deeltjes samenkomen en transformeren in objecten of levens. Hij gebruikt stukken pijpen in zijn composities en verzamelt ze, waardoor een "nieuw levensconcept" ontstaat.
