Hyeri Cho combineert traditionele boeddhistische iconografie met hedendaagse media, geworteld in haar blootstelling aan boeddhistische geschriften in haar kindertijd. Door gebruik te maken van olifantenslurven als symbool, hoewel niet exclusief, vangen haar sculpturen de essentie van de menselijke imperfectie, vaak met een onderstroom van humor en conceptuele diepgang. Haar kunst is een dichotomie, waarbij ze verlies gebruikt om vreugde te benadrukken en een gevoel van optimistische acceptatie van de inherente tekortkomingen van het leven opwekt.
