Irena Orlov is een Amerikaanse schilder en fotograaf wiens werken veelvuldig te zien zijn geweest in prijzen, publicaties en tentoonstellingen in de Verenigde Staten. Voorheen een succesvolle architect en ontwerper, wendde ze zich uiteindelijk tot beeldende kunst vanwege de grenzeloze mogelijkheid tot zelfexpressie. Haar werk vertrouwt op elke kijker voor individuele interpretatie en nodigt hen uit om te reageren volgens hun eigen ervaringen en herinneringen. De grote abstracte schilderijen van Orlov zijn gedurfd, gebalanceerd en hebben zowel chromatische als structurele kracht.
