Joan Llaverias is een gepassioneerde Catalaanse kunstenaar wiens werken te zien zijn geweest in prijzen, tentoonstellingen en collecties in heel Spanje en Frankrijk. Zijn belangrijkste focus ligt op het ontstaan van kleuren: hoe ze verschijnen in hun pure staat, hoe ze kunnen worden gemanipuleerd tijdens het artistieke proces, het leven dat ze kunnen aannemen terwijl ze beelden vormen. Llaverias componeert uiteindelijk abstracte schilderijen die de grenzen van schilderijen verkennen en op nieuwe manieren met herkenbare figuren spelen.
