Karen Gunderman is een ervaren kunstenaar gevestigd in de Verenigde Staten wiens schilderijen nationaal zijn tentoongesteld, maar ook in Taiwan, Zuid-Korea, Kroatië, Oostenrijk, Spanje, Slovenië, China, enz. Gedurende haar hele carrière waren haar diverse werken een reactie naar haar directe omgeving en de wereld van de natuur die haar omringt. Gundermans stukken bevatten vaak verhalende elementen, maar vaak resulteren de reacties op haar omgeving in abstracte relaties.
