Kent Laforme is een meesterlijk beeldhouwer en schilder, opgeleid in Canada en Italië, die zich verdiept in marmer, steen en olieverf om culturele identiteit en de continuïteit van de beeldhouwkunst te onderzoeken. Zijn techniek is geworteld in klassiek handbeeldhouwen, waarbij hij Oost en West combineert met gestructureerde oppervlakken die spelen met licht en schaduw – een samensmelting van vluchtige abstractie en contemplatieve figuratie. Zijn kunstwerken roepen diepe reflectie op, de tijdloze kracht van de natuur en een gevoel van existentiële verwondering, en nodigen de kijker uit tot meditatie over identiteit en de cycli die de menselijke beschaving vormgeven.
