Lea Jazbec (1979, SLO), interdisciplinair kunstenaar, zelfstandig ondernemer in de cultuursector, lid van de Vereniging van Beeldende Kunstenaars Ljubljana, vanaf 2024 plaatsvervangend lid van het ere-tribunaal van de Sloveense Vereniging van verenigingen voor schone kunsten, mentor voor jongeren en kinderen bij het ruimtelijk onderzoek naar het medium licht en handmatig grafisch drukken, behaalde een MFA (Hons)-diploma van de Accademia di Belle Arti di Venezia in Italië.
Jazbec haalt inspiratie uit de observatie van de natuur, de menselijke conditie en perceptie. Terwijl licht, experimenten en het verkennen van de grenzen van zowel het bekende als het zichtbare haar productiekeuzes bepalen en sturen, beweegt ze zich in haar werk en projecten doelbewust tussen media om locatiegebonden licht-, geluids- en video-installaties te creëren. Ze test het gebruik van verschillende ruimtelijke technieken met behulp van verschillende 'ruimtelijke sleutels'. Ze bekijkt één object vanuit verschillende perspectieven en onderzoekt wat zichtbaar en tastbaar is om het verborgen of nieuwe te begrijpen en te tonen.
