Maja Grecic is een Servische schilderes die bekendstaat om haar evocatieve abstracte werk, dat ze dankt aan haar gedegen opleiding aan de Universiteit voor Schone Kunsten in Belgrado. Ze verweeft meesterlijk expressief semi-abstract impressionisme en intimisme, waarbij ze invloeden van fauvisme, impressionisme en postimpressionisme combineert met een levendig, organisch kleurgebruik dat zowel vorm als sfeer bezielt. Haar schilderijen pulseren met het dynamische samenspel van warme en koude tinten, oppervlakken en lijnen, en vangen zo een harmonie die doet denken aan een symfonisch crescendo.
