« Het creatieve proces is een intiem verslag van “het zo zijn van mij” op een bepaald moment in het leven. Dus creëren is voor mij een pad, geen doel. »
Malgorzata Krakowiak groeide op tussen de ezels en weefgetouwen van haar ouders, kunstschilders, waar de geur van schapenwol zich vermengde met verf en terpentine.
Tijdens haar studie koos ze ook voor de optie schilderen en artistiek textiel, wat ze tot op de dag van vandaag met passie verkent. In de loop der jaren heeft ze haar carrière vooral ontwikkeld als Fiber Art-kunstenaar, waarbij ze twee- en driedimensionale objecten tentoonstelt en deelneemt aan individuele en groepstentoonstellingen in gerenommeerde musea en galerieën in Polen, het thuisland van de kunstenaar. Sinds 2018 woont en werkt ze op Mallorca, waar de buitengewone natuur van dit eiland haar inspiratiebron is.
Haar vreugde over de rijkdom van het weefsel van materie, licht en kleur verwerkt ze in de huidige cycli FISH en SUBLIMAT, waarin ze met behulp van innovatieve technieken de werelden van schilderkunst en textiel combineert.
Ze neemt al enkele jaren regelmatig deel aan kunstbeurzen en ontwikkelt met succes samenwerkingen met ontwerpers. De werken van de kunstenaar zijn te vinden in privécollecties en openbare instellingen over de hele wereld.
