Mara Sfara is een gevestigde Amerikaanse schilder, fotograaf en beeldhouwer die haar werk in binnen- en buitenland heeft tentoongesteld, onder meer in Spanje en Argentinië. Ze streeft ernaar om visueel opvallende werken te maken die duidelijke boodschappen uitdrukken en toch elk stuk individueel kunnen interpreteren. Voor haar sculpturen gebruikt ze een op olie gebaseerde klei die ze vervolgens in brons omhult, en voor haar schilderijen gebruikt ze acrylverf op canvas.
