Matteo Neivert is een bekroonde schilder en beeldhouwer gevestigd in de Verenigde Staten wiens werken op grote schaal nationaal zijn tentoongesteld. Hij beschrijft zijn kunst als het onderzoeken van de krachtige krachten van de natuur en de biologie in zowel echte als denkbeeldige composities. Daarnaast probeert Neivert de magie van deze energieën vast te leggen, evenals de steeds veranderende relatie tussen mens en milieu.
