« Ik ben een hedendaagse kunstenaar die figuren tekent van moderne mensen die in stedelijke landschappen leven met planten. »
Mia Kim is een bekroonde Zuid-Koreaanse schilder wiens kunst te zien is geweest in tal van solo- en groepstentoonstellingen op nationaal niveau, maar ook in Japan en de Verenigde Staten. Haar werken drukken het dagelijkse leven van de hedendaagse mens uit, constant bezig in een snel veranderende stad. Kim's verhalen worden overgebracht door eenvoudige vormen, levendige kleuren en gewaagde lijnen. Ze gebruikt zowel acryl als olie op canvas.
