Michele Fontana is een autodidactische Italiaanse kunstenaar die voornamelijk werkt met emaille en acrylverf op doek, en zijn eigen werkwijze buiten de academische conventies ontwikkelt. Zijn beeldtaal combineert op meesterlijke wijze druppeltechnieken, strakke lijnen en giettechnieken, waardoor een dynamische en zeer persoonlijke esthetiek ontstaat.
Fontana transformeert pijn in visuele poëzie met zijn schilderijen, waarbij hij spontaniteit en emotionele intensiteit omarmt als daden van verzet en innerlijke bevrijding. De communicatieve kracht van zijn werk heeft reeds brede erkenning gekregen op de Europese markt, waardoor zijn werken zijn opgenomen in talrijke privécollecties in Italië, Duitsland, Portugal en Nederland.
