Oksana Tanasiv, een Oekraïense schilder die in de Verenigde Staten woont, heeft op grote schaal op nationaal niveau geëxposeerd. Ze verdeelt verschillende concepten, stijlen en technieken in collecties. Neofolk-geometrische composities met traditionele borduurornamenten en symbolen vormen de basis van haar werken. Elementen van Oost-Europees borduurwerk dienen niet alleen als communicatie met haar voorouders, maar ook als middel om geschiedenis en cultuur over te dragen aan toekomstige generaties.
