Oscar Baccilieri, geboren in 1965 in Reggio Emilia, ontwikkelt zich artistiek met behulp van verschillende media, zoals canvas, kasjmier, bijenwas, marmer, vloeipapier en koper. Hij transformeert het materiaal tot een intense oefening in creativiteit en esthetiek. Hij werkt met een raadselachtige, speelse en ludieke esthetiek, waarbij hij gebruikmaakt van collage-, aquarel- en zuurverftechnieken, waarbij hij figuratieve en abstracte aspecten in zijn werken mengt.
