Phoebe Cope, een in Ierland geboren kunstenaar met een achtergrond in tekenen, schilderen en beeldhouwen, maakt gebruik van observationele veldstudies die geworteld zijn in landschappen en de natuurhistorie. Ze baseert haar werk op het leven, waarbij ze geheugen en directe observatie combineert om organische patronen vast te leggen en oog, hand en hart vakkundig op elkaar af te stemmen. Door middel van expressieve technieken viert ze de inherente schoonheid van de wereld en spoort ze kijkers hartstochtelijk aan om de diversiteit om ons heen te koesteren en opnieuw te beleven.
