Rolando Vazquez is een multidisciplinaire Cubaanse kunstenaar wiens werken nationaal zijn geëxposeerd, maar ook in de Dominicaanse Republiek, Colombia, de Verenigde Staten, Senegal en Mexico. Hij gebruikt het respect en de liefde die hij voelt voor zijn land om thema's aan te pakken als het leven, religie, politiek, de spiritualiteit van Cubanen en de menselijke ellende die ons omringt. Vazquez 'kunst is experimenteel van aard, vanwege de verschillende materialen, technieken en "manifestaties" waarmee hij communiceert.
