Sajjad Ahmed heeft een internationaal erkend werkveld dat zich verdiept in geconstrueerd realisme. Hij gebruikt visuele deconstructie, klassieke vloeiende vormen en sublieme, gelaagde ruimtes om de grenzen tussen het dromerige en het vertrouwde te vervagen. Zijn kunst roept diepgaande, perceptuele ruimtes op, doordrenkt met thema's als herinnering, eenzaamheid en de fragiele aard van menselijke verbondenheid, en wekt een gevoel van introspectie en emotionele vloeibaarheid op.
Zijn kunstwerken, die wereldwijd tentoongesteld zijn, maken deel uit van de permanente collecties van Imago Mundi Collection (Italië), Art in Embassies (VS), Slought Foundation (VS) en Devi Art Foundation (India). Zijn werk is gepubliceerd in prestigieuze tijdschriften zoals Le Monde Diplomatique (Frankrijk), India Today, GQ en een monografie over zijn oeuvre. Ahmed is finalist voor de Sovereign Asian Art Prize.
