Shana (Shushanik Danilyants) werd geboren in 1967 in Fergana-stad, Oezbekistan in de voormalige Sovjet-Unie. Ze studeerde kunst aan het Benkoff Art College in Tasjkent-stad en studeerde in 1984 af als decorkunstenaar. Ze vervolgde haar opleiding door te studeren aan de Ostrovsky State University of Fine Arts in Tasjkent-stad en studeerde af als kunstenaar voor televisie en cinema. In 1999 verhuisden Shana en haar familie naar Canada, waar ze tot op de dag van vandaag nog steeds wonen. Shana werkt nu aan het doorgeven van haar artistieke kennis aan jongeren en volwassenen in een eigen kunstacademie in Concord, Palette Art School, naast haar schilderkunst.
