Sook Kim is een kunstenaar gevestigd in Zuid-Korea, wiens schilderijen zowel nationaal als in India en China zijn tentoongesteld. Haar centrale thema is de hanenkambloem. Kim hoopt dat mensen hun leven leiden als bloemen en dat haar composities hun gelukkigste herinneringen oproepen. Door de gelaagdheid van oliën geeft ze het beeld extra massa en dimensie, waarbij ze de interpretatie van driedimensionale vormen harmoniseert met vormende variaties.
