Vytautas Laisonas is een gevestigde Litouwse schilder met internationale bekendheid. Laisonas schildert in de figuratieve stijl en beeldt vaak idyllische landelijke landschappen uit met brede penseelstreken om een zachte afwerking te bereiken. Zijn landelijke schilderijen doen denken aan de Romantiek, gevuld met glooiende heuvels, golvende wolken en schijnbaar eindeloze rivieren.
