This painting is part of a small series of winter landscapes. It depicts an oriental looking wintry landscape.
The fragmented spaces and intermingling colors suggest a journey through memories and time, encouraging the viewer to contemplate. Eyes can wander through the painting, and your imagination can start interpreting the scenery.
I've blended layers of acrylic and colored pencil to capture the essence of transient moments and emotions, using… a semi-abstract style.
As always, I painted, glued and drew in it, scratched, removed and rebuilt. Underneath this painting are a lot of layers, which shine through the whites and colors, and give it a beautiful depth. The combination of painting and drawing expresses my style the most.

« Ik speel graag met de werkelijkheid, kleuren, licht, vormen, bewegingen en transformeer beelden. Ze lijken misschien een beetje vervormd, zelfs als ze realistisch zijn, maar ik zoek altijd naar harmonie. »
Bea Evers is een in Nederland gevestigde kunstenaar wiens schilderijen nationaal en in Italië zijn geëxposeerd. Hoewel de thema's in haar werken door de jaren heen zijn veranderd, zijn haar huidige werken voornamelijk semi-abstracte landschappen. Evers beschrijft haar kunst als een uitnodiging aan de kijker om een gevoel van ruimtelijkheid te voelen, terwijl ze ook "het oog iets geeft om naar te zoeken". Ze maakt meestal met acryl en houtskool op hout of canvas.
